The right to Education

On April 1st 2010 the "Right of Children to free and compulsory education act" approved by the Indian government last year came into force. This act obliges all Indian states to ensure that every child receives free elementary education.  To learn more about this act and about SOPAR and Bala Vikasa's work in education you can read our recent Vikasa Tharangini.

Community development internship in India

Our Work in India

Since 1977, our mission has been to support community development in India, more specifically in the State of Andhra Pradesh. Our approach is to help people help themselves by using the assets and resources of communities to effect lasting change.
