FAQ - Children Changing the World
Where do the projects take place?
All the projects of SOPAR are realized in the State of Andhra Pradesh in the Southeast of India.
Is there a deadline for the registration?
Registration deadline is 9th January 2012 for the schools that want to finish the project within the school-year. It is possible to register after this date, however SOPAR cannot guarantee the school will receive the commemorative plaque before the end of the school year.
What happens when we register?
When we receive the registration form, we send you an acknowledgement (by e-mail) and we ask to our partner in India, Bala Vikasa, to begin the project. A school’s registration is a commitment on its part to achieve the project.
What happens if we collect the money without being registered?
If your school has raised funds without registering, you can send the funds to SOPAR and you will receive the commemorative plaque within the following school year.
What do we do if we have extra money?
If you collect more money than the necessary amount for your project, you can allocate it to another of SOPAR’s programs. SOPAR could also use surpluses to help the schools which did not manage to reach their objective.
Can relatives get a charity receipt?
When requested, we send charity receipts for a donation over $15.00. To emit a receipt, we need your full name, mailing address and the amount of the donation. Usually, we send the charity receipts at the beginning of February.
